To save the foundation from deterioration often requires digging up for a purpose of installing new outside footing drains (French Drain Style) and MarFlexing (Liquid Rubber) application to walls at base of footing. This is the best alternative for saving foundation for structural reasons. However, this is not always possible due to the site and does not offer the same warranty that we can give with our indoor water systems.
What is Marflex, and how is it part of our outdoor water systems?
Kinetic would first dig up the area to be repaired down to below footing wall. We would then pressure wash the wall at 4000 lbs of pressure to expose the pores of the concrete. One to two coats of liquid rubber MarFlex would be applied with a driveway tar brush and hard brush, leaving behind what looks like a black pool liner glued to your wall. At footing area we always put 2 coats and install French Drain using Grate Drain piping with large holes and drainage stone. After installation, sand is used to within 18” of surface and top soil is used to encapsulate system for surface water back graded pitching.
